Teacher Appreciation Week | Greater Lansing Area Moms

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week and we wanted to share local and national discounts for teachers! While teachers are appreciated EVERY day, these special discounts are valid through the end of this week.

We asked a couple of our friends who are educators and they offered up a couple of suggestions when it comes to Teacher Appreciation Week gifts.

“The best gift I ever gave was when I got together with some other parents and we did lunch one day for the whole staff. They absolutely loved it!” shared a Teacher-parent.

“I have so many mugs, bags, and picture frames. Honestly the cutesy stuff is ADORABLE, but what really makes you feel good is a note about why you’re appreciated. Gift cards are nice if you really want to give something, but the gifts that stand out in my mind and that I always keep are the thoughtful notes.”

“Teachers have an average of 20-25 students in each class. That means possibly they have the same amount of teacher appreciation gifts. What the heck, it’s a no brainer 🙂 GIFT CARD.”

And even more ideas and Teacher Appreciation gift inspiration:
Write a poem or quote
Paint a coffee mug
Write a letter
Make a bookmark
Make cookies at home, cupcakes…
Draw a gift card
Decorate the candy box or chocolate bar
Buy a book you know your teacher likes
Heating pad – either cold classroom, back pain or cramps
