Reading opportunities in the Greater Lansing area

With 13 branches and a Mobile Library, Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) serves 23 municipalities across Ingham and parts of Eaton Counties.With a CADL card you can:

  • Download, stream and borrow books, movies, music and even comics from CADL’s robust and accessible collection. 
  • Use your library card to access Linked In Learning to pick up new skills or get free tutoring for yourself or your students from Tutor.com. 
  • Borrow nearly anything from musical instruments to sewing machines to lawn games and more from CADL’s Library of Things. 
  • Visit any of our branches for a variety of family friendly programs, computer access, professional storytimes and more.
