On Veterans Day we asked, "What does being a veteran mean to you?" - Greater Lansing Area Moms

Thank you Veterans!  It is Veterans Day and we are sharing something a little different.veteran's day

An area social studies teacher asked for veterans who would be willing to make a short video of themselves answering “what does being a veteran mean to you?”

The main purpose was to have students connect with veterans in the community and understand why Veterans Day is an important holiday.  The social studies lesson on Veterans Day would include the veteran’s interviews.

Why is Greater Lansing Area Moms sharing an interview of a GLAMoms – Grandpa?  Perspective.  We gained perspective after a Vietnam Veteran shared his thoughts about this day.

What does being a veteran mean to you?

Take a moment to listen as this Marine veteran shares with an area 7th grade class.
