American Red Cross
How you can help:
- Make a financial donation by texting HELENE to 90999
- DONATE. Schedule an appointment to donate blood, find blood drives HERE.The storm led to canceled blood drives and caused damage to blood donation centers, so blood and plasma donations are in high demand.
- VOLUNTEER! The American Red Cross is in desperate need of blood drive volunteers and volunteers who may be interested in deploying. Baby to Baby
Help children who survived the hurricane obtain formula, diapers and clothing through this national nonprofit. They have sent nearly two million critical items for babies and children in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee, but their work is far from over.

The Humane Society of the United States
Support the “Animal Rescue Team” through The Humane Society of the United States’ Emergency Animal Relief Fund to help pets and animals affected by hurricanes. They are offering veterinary care, supply distribution, transportation of adoptable animals out of impacted regions, and field assessment.

Save the Children
This nonprofit is working to rehabilitate schools and childcare centers affected by the hurricane, providing essential supplies and support to help these facilities recover and be able to reopen as soon as possible.

Global Empowerment Mission
An incredible organization that was one of the first to start providing large-scale aid supplies to community members affected by this disaster. This includes water, food, cleaning supplies, tarps, pet supplies, hygiene supplies, and more. Follow their Instagram to learn more about what they are doing locally for North Carolina and Florida.

Greater Good Charities
Greater Good Charities is on the ground in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and other severely impacted areas, delivering life-saving supplies, hygiene products, Good Packs, food, and water. A temporary distribution center has been set up in Winter Haven, east of Tampa, where they are receiving and distributing pet food and essential supplies directly to those in need.
All Hands and Hearts
All Hands and Hearts is an organization committed to effectively and efficiently addressing the immediate and long-term needs of global communities impacted by disasters. All Hands and Hearts is working to assess damage, remove debris and clear hazardous trees to restore safety and access. As conditions improve, they are prepared to expand efforts to reach remote, heavily impacted areas to provide further disaster relief and recovery support. Donations are accepted as well as volunteer opportunities.
