Small Business Saturday and this week is Retractable Solutions. We recently sat down with Retractable Solutions owner, Jeff Nash and he shared a few things about Phantom Screens. Phantom Screens are made for all home openings such as entry doors, garage doors, windows. They are a screening option that do not obstruct views, add value to your home and are built to last.

Tell us about Retractable Solutions!
Retractable Solutions is the area distributor of Phantom Screens and recently made Meridian Township its home. Phantom Screens are retractable screens for doors, windows and large openings. The entire line provides a pleasing aesthetic, functional option for any opening in your home.
Located off Towner Road, they share space with business partner Great Lakes Office Interiors. MEI Elevator Services is at this location and additional office space is also available.
What do you love about having a business in the Greater Lansing area?
We are located in Meridian Township, recently built a building on Towner road. I grew up in the area, know the area, the other area businesses, the people – and I enjoy having a small business here.
What has been the most challenging part of running your business during COVID, and how did you overcome it?
We could not work. We had products and we had jobs but we could not get into houses. It did not please homeowners but we followed the direction given. Once we could get back to work, we did and we continue installing Phantom products since.
What are you looking forward to as we move towards 2022?
New advances in the Phantom products. And while we are located in the Greater Lansing area, we have accounts throughout Michigan and Indiana – we hope more Greater Lansing local homeowners want to bring Phantom Screens into their homes and expand the brand in the area.
Who is your biggest consumer?
Homeowners, and actually most times moms. They make lots of decisions at home about the home!
We work directly with homeowners to bring Phantom products to their doors. We also work with builders and architects but the majority of our customer base are moms 🙂
What’s your favorite business or two in the Greater Lansing area – we will tell them who sent us 🙂
Hmmm, a couple that come to mind are, Another Hair Institute (in Lansing) and The Watershed Tavern & Grill (in Haslett)
Anything else you would like to share with GLAMom’s?
If you do not know about Phantom Screens, learn about them. It enhances your home, are easy to maintain and they promote fresh air movement without a large, bulky screen door or window covering And they keep insects out.
