GLAMoms recently had the exciting opportunity to chat with Nick Rehberger from Les Misérables, coming to Wharton Center this week! As of October 1, Nick has stepped into his dream role as the villain, Inspector Javet, calling it, “the greatest honor of his life” to be part of the world’s most popular musical–a powerful story about family and the battle between good and bad, featuring iconic music that is recognized around the world.
The show kicked off its record-breaking North American tour again in October 2022, receiving rave reviews and sold-out audiences nationwide. Les Misérables arrives at Wharton Center in East Lansing, October 8-13 and tickets are still available!
A 2009 Haslett High School grad, this is a full circle moment for Nick to return to Greater Lansing to perform on the Wharton Center stage! Growing up, he attended Broadway shows such as The Lion King and recalls sitting in the 4th row being “gobsmacked“ by the size of the show and the theater, thinking people actually get paid to do this as their career! In fact, he even skipped his high school prom to see Mandy Patinkin on stage at Wharton Center!
Nick also shares valuable advice to young people who may be interested in theater and how he’s kept connections with his former Haslett choir and theater teachers. It will be especially meaningful for him to have so many family, friends and former teachers in the audience for this performance in his hometown!
Welcome to Greater Lansing Area Moms, Nick! Thank you for taking the time to speak with us.
Les Misérables makes its stop at Wharton Center, October 8-13. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by clicking HERE.
