This was a classroom favorite 10 years ago and it still proves to be a hit!
What you will need:
👻 1” Paper tape (this can be found locally as well)
👻 Juice boxes or water bottles (larger the container, the more tape you will need)
👻 Goggly eyes or eyeball stickers
👻 Glue stick (if eyes do not have a sticky back)
This is so incredibly simple and I watched some television while taping the juice boxes and water bottles. I removed the water bottle labels so the color of the label did not show through.
Wrap the tape to cover the container. It takes about a ½ to ¾ roll of tape per juice box and the water bottles were only wrapped 3-4 times around the area where the label was.
After the containers look like mummies, attach the eyes to the tape covered container with glue stick.
I have run across a couple different versions. One used crepe paper and another used masking tape. Each version looked great!
One last thing – remember to remove the juice box straw BEFORE covering the juice box with tape. I made that mistake and had to find some straws mid-Halloween party when asked, “where are the straws?”
Happy Mummy Making!
