Greater Lansing Area Moms had the incredible opportunity to speak with Nick Kendall from the Grammy Award-winning trio, Time For Three (TF3). Known for their genre-defying fusion of Americana, classical, pop, and singer-songwriter styles, TF3 is rewriting the rules of music, captivating audiences around the globe. And now, they’re bringing their one-of-a-kind performance to the Wharton Center on Wednesday, January 29!
Nick is incredibly kind, funny and down to earth! During our conversation, he shared the story of how TF3 came to life, what it’s like to tour as a dad now, and the excitement of performing alongside talented student musicians from Okemos High School, led by Justin Valla.
As a new dad, Nick balances the demands of touring with the joys of fatherhood and shares, “It makes you dig deep because we are on the road A LOT! My wife is a superstar! Fortunately, they have been able to be on the road with us. Our daughter got to go to Europe this past summer!”
Nick also shares about Time for Three’s love of having local talented students join them on stage! “We are so happy to hear that Okemos High School students are joining us on stage. We feel like we build community when the students are on stage! And they bring their family and friends, it’s a great community moment. It’s one of the BIG moments in the show! Nick mentions the song, Joy inspired by Beethoven and fingers crossed they play this beautiful version during the show!
