A Conversation with Jessica Angelskhan: Bringing Life of Pi to the Stage
What a treat! GLAMoms had the opportunity to sit down with Jessica Angelskhan to chat about her incredible roles in Life of Pi. Jessica plays Pi’s mother and also takes on the role of a Mexican nurse, and she shared how her own experiences—and the perspective of motherhood—helped shape her performance.
For parents considering bringing their kids to Life of Pi, Jessica offers thoughtful insights on key moments in the show, providing a deeper understanding of the story’s themes and impact.*
One of the most fascinating aspects of our conversation was hearing Jessica reflect on the unique personal connection she has to both of her roles. With a Bangladeshi father and a Cuban mother, she finds a rare and meaningful opportunity in Life of Pi—a production that allows her to represent both parts of her heritage on stage. It truly feels like a role that was meant for her!
This is Jessica’s first National Tour, and we’re honored to have had the chance to speak with her before Life of Pi arrives at Wharton Center, March 11-16.
A huge thank you to Wharton Center for making this conversation possible—GLAMoms is so grateful for the opportunity to share these incredible Broadway stories with our community!
