Playmakers Youth Cross Country Camp at Fenner Nature Center

There are three separate sessions that run Monday – Friday. Session 1: July 6th-10th, Session 2: July 13th-17th, Session 3: July 20th-24th

Join us at Fenner Nature Center for a fun and active youth running camp designed to build healthy habits and a love for movement! Campers will learn proper running form while improving their speed, endurance, and overall fitness. Each session includes games, drills, and trail runs led by experienced coaches & counselors—all in a welcoming and nature-filled setting. Eligible campers are kids entering 2nd – 8th grade in the coming school year.

Whether your child is new to running or looking to sharpen their skills, this camp is the perfect way to stay active and make new friends.What Campers Can Expect Campers will be split into 3 groups based on Grade Level 2nd & 3rd Grade The 2nd & 3rd Grade group will focus on FUNdamentals of running. Campers will explore the nature & many trails of Fenner Nature Center through scavenger hunts, coach guided tours, and running games that encourage speed, flexibility, and technique. 4th & 5th Grade The 4th & 5th Grade group begin to Learn to Train.

Coaches will focus on helping kids develop strength & stamina through games, relays, and an introduction to healthy training. Kids will also work to refine their movement skills by learning essential principles of Good Form Running. Middle Schoolers (6th-8th grade) The Middle School group will be Training to Train.

These campers will dive deeper into healthy training specific to the sport of Cross Country. Coaches will also work through effective warm-up & stretching techniques.

Campers will begin to learn about mental skills associated with the sport of Cross Country.
