Update: happy to report – MJ the Musical is BEYOND anything I imagined!
GLAMoms just had the opportunity to speak with Devin Bowles last week about the parts he played. Actually two roles — Joseph Jackson, Michael’s father and Rob, his right hand man.
I paid close attention to Devin Bowles and how they interacted with MJ because Devin introduced bits of the storyline when he spoke with GLAMoms. It is always an incredible opportunity when you know someone on stage too!
Don’t listen for Bob Hoffman’s voice to give 5 minute warning when the show is about to begin – the cast of MJ the Musical is on stage counting down until it is go time! And from that instant MJ is on set to the very end – the singing, dancing, incredible story telling along with a seamless transitions between young Michael, Jackson 5 Michael and then when Michael was older!
An engaging story offering so many dimensions of his life and I now understand more about his high – sometimes unrealistic – expectations of others were no where near what he expected from himself! And while some stories told during MJ the Musical made my mom-heart ache, his vision and appreciation for others and need to fix the world… a powerful and inspiring message he shared and continues to with his music.”
Get your tickets today! I do believe this is the best Wharton Center performance I have attended. This is “that show” other shows will be compared to for some time.
