Need a change of pace and to go explore? Day trips are becoming more and more part of weekend plans! A day trip serves as a perfect change of scenery and does not require much planning. We are rounding up some fun day trip ideas and this week we are focusing on attractions in the Grand Rapids area that are family friendly! Pack some snacks and travel about an hour west!

The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum, open daily, two floors of hands-on interactive exhibits and daily drop-in programs that encourage discovery and learning through play.

Gerald Ford Presidential Museum open daily, visitors to experience highlights from President and Mrs. Ford’s lives. The exhibit teaches democratic citizenship and allows for quiet reflection. In addition to the permanent exhibits, changing temporary exhibits draw artifacts from Museums all over the country.
