Yesterday we had the chance to chat with two incredible performers from The Wiz at Wharton Center: Alan Ringo Jr., who plays The Wiz, and Sheherazade, who brings Glinda to life on stage. It was such a fun behind the scenes look at this high energy, reimagined production that we absolutely loved!
Both shared how special it is to bring this iconic story to a new generation. They talked about the vibrant music, the powerful messages woven throughout the show, and the joy of performing for audiences like here in East Lansing. They both said the show brings JOY in a time when we all need it and that it is truly a production for all ages.
Sheherazade as Glinda
