Buddy's PALS - Greater Lansing Area Moms

Buddy’s PALS (Pet Assisted Learning) is a nonprofit organization made up of specially trained comfort dogs and volunteer handlers who visit schools, libraries, and educational spaces to help reduce stress, encourage connection, and support everyday learning. Their work brings comfort not only to students, but to educators and families too, reminding all of us just how powerful kindness, patience, and a wagging tail can be.

Earlier this month (May) also carries a little extra meaning for the organization, as Buddy (the beloved namesake behind Buddy’s PALS) died earlier this month. His legacy lives on through every comfort visit, every child who feels a little less anxious, and every volunteer team continuing the mission he inspired. We’re grateful to help celebrate that impact and honor the heart behind the organization.

At GLAM Jam, families can learn more about volunteer opportunities, meet some of the incredible handler teams, enjoy giveaways for both kids and pups, and stop by the pup water station for visiting dogs throughout the event.

Today, Buddy’s PALS includes more than 60 volunteer handler teams serving schools and partner organizations throughout the Greater Lansing area and beyond,  continuing to grow one comforting paw at a time.
