2022 GLAMoms Preschool Guide | Greater Lansing Area Moms

We all want our children’s first experiences with school to be full of exciting chances to learn and have fun. When choosing the perfect preschool, it’s important to get all of the information we need in one place. That’s why we put together the 2022 GLAMoms Preschool Guide.

There are a variety of options – full day, part day, two, three, four and five day options.  Take a look at the listings below for what you will need to know and where to go to learn more.

Abbott Nursery School is a play-based, half-day preschool for children ages 3 through 5 located in East Lansing. Three different class options are offered: a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning class, and a Tuesday and Thursday morning class both from 9:00-11:30 (both of these classes are multi-age).

They also offer a Monday-Thursday afternoon class from 12:30-3:00 for children who are 4 by September 1st and plan to attend kindergarten the following fall. Each class has a maximum of 22 children with two teachers and a teachers aide.

Abbott Nursery School believes that children learn best through play and that the preschool years should be a fun time of exploration in the classroom. Open enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year is underway.

K-Prep encompasses our entire preschool program with special age-appropriate instruction for 3 year olds, 4 year olds, and Young 5’s. At AppleTree and Gilden Woods, they understand that preschoolers need the freedom to explore, inquire, and engage. That’s why their comprehensive approach is so effective.

AppleTree and Gilden Woods provides a developmentally-appropriate environment for hands-on learning that is stimulating and fun, so your child can grow, play, and learn at their own pace. They’ll love engaging in art, music, early math and science activities, and circle time – and you’ll love the confidence and mastery they develop.

Program begins at age 3.
