Summer Concert Series at Marketplace on the Green

The Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Department has announced their musical line-up for the FREE Summer Concert Series at the Marketplace on the Green pavilion (1995 Central Park Drive).

The Summer Concert Series will kick off on Wednesday, June 7 at 6:00 pm with a performance by the Sea Cruisers. LIVE bands will perform from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm throughout the summer months in conjunction with the Wednesday Farmers’ Market, June – September. The Wednesday Farmers’ Market hours are 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, June through October.

Musical Performance Line Up:

• June 7 – Sea Cruisers
(Bringing the best sounds of the 50s, 60s, and 70s to mid-Michigan for over 30 years)

• June 14 – Don Middlebrook
(Trop Rock – wear your Hawaiian shirt!)

• June 21 – Showdown

• June 28 – Shellouts
(Classic rock favorites that will get you dancing)

• July 5 – Meridian Community Band
(Connecting our community through music, Americana theme to celebrate our country)

• July 12 – The Black Barn Band
(70’s to Today’s Hits)

• July 19 – Oxymorons
(Eclectic list of classic songs from recording artists rooted in the 60’s and 70’s)

• July 26 – Slick Jimmy
(80’s pop, Rock, Top 40, Dance, Big Hair, 70’s & Country)

• August 2 – Mike and Lisa
(Easy listening jazz favorites)

• August 9 – Garage Sale Band
(80’s, 90’s to current Pop/Rock Covers)

• August 16 – Global Village
(Global Village is a high energy party band playing music from the 60’s through present day)

• August 23 – ABC Sisters and the Big Bang Theory Band
(1940’s Tribute, big bands of the past)

• August 30 – Steve Spees
(Jazz Blues, Easy Listening, Country, Classic Rock & Reggae)

• September 6 – Joe Wright
(Solo country cover artist)

• September 13 – Kanin Wren
(Taylor Swift Experience)

• September 20 – Tony Thompson & Friends
(Soul/Funk, Motown, Dance, EDM, Hendrix, R&B, Prince and more!)

• September 27 – Dedfoot Duo
(Lansing musical duo performing blues music and will compete at the Blues Foundation’s 38th International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN)
