Studio Squad – register in advance for April 6 – 27 session
Calling all creative kids ages 9-12! Make art while hanging out with others who share a passion for making in this weekly online art program with the MSU Broad. We’ve planned a month of after school art-making adventures that kids can join no matter where their family happens to be right now.
When does Studio Squad Meet?
Designed as an after school program, Studio Squad sessions are offered monthly and meet once a week from 4:30–5:30pm. These FREE weekly virtual meet-ups are designed to build a community of friendship through art. We encourage participants to attend each week to help foster strong creative relationships with fellow group members.
Choose either the Tuesday or Thursday option per session. Sign up for one month or more! Enrollment will be open through one week prior to the session start date or until a session reaches capacity.
Session 1: February
Tuesdays, Feb. 2–Feb. 23 or Thursdays, Feb. 4–Feb. 25
Session 2: March
Tuesdays, Mar. 9–March 30 or Thursdays, Mar. 4–Mar. 25
Session 3: April
Tuesdays, Apr. 6–Apr. 27 or Thursdays, Apr. 1–Apr. 22
How exactly does it work?
We’ll meet in groups to create individually and together, while learning about cool art from around the world. Each weekly club meetup is led by two instructors from the MSU Broad Education Team. Groups will meet for one hour.
Who is teaching Studio Squad?
The program is designed and overseen by certified K-12 art educators. All of our instructors are MSU students who work on K-12 and Family Programs at the MSU Broad.
Who can join?
We are offering this FREE Studio Squad for young artists ages 9-12.
What about supplies + technology?
Art can be made from anything! With that in mind, we’ve designed the program to use materials that can be sourced around the house. Children will also need access to a phone, tablet, or computer that has video capabilities to participate.
