Please join us to commemorate the St. Johns Train Depot Centennial and the 100 year anniversary of the terrible tornado that ripped through St. Johns on March 28, 1920. Notice the strange coincidence that these two things share an anniversary? Come find out why!
5:00-8:30PM: Depot main lobby, historic train cars, model train room, and gift shop open to the public. Free cookies and bottled water.
5:30PM: Brief guided walking tour to explain how the tornado changed St. Johns forever. Meet in front of Dominos Pizza.
6:30PM: Family bicycle ride on the rail trail from the Depot to Shepardsville, 11 miles round trip. This location is important to the tornado story, come find out why. Ride the whole way or turn around at any point! Water provided at the turn-around point at Shepardsville Road.
