Children’s Ballet Theatre provides a youth-oriented, community-based ballet performance company in Michigan with the highest possible dance, artistic and performance standards, while fostering a greater appreciation of ballet as an art form.

Dancers learn the rigors of a professional ballet company, including extensive planning and rehearsing, makeup application, costume care, theater etiquette and respect for fellow dancers.

“Where everyone has a chance to dance”, is our studio slogan and mission. We provide Dance, Music, and Fitness classes to the East Lansing, Haslett, Okemos, Williamston, Bath, Mason, and Lansing area.

It is our goal to promote growth in positive self-awareness and modesty, operating with an approach to cultivate family values through integrity, respect, diligence, and courage. We also focus on age appropriate costumes and music choices. Kick It Out was founded in 2012 and we began in a 1,000 square foot site with 0 students and that grew to 14 dance and 20 fitness students, those numbers doubled each year.

We now we have grown into a 4,400 square foot facility in East Lansing, MI with three dance studio rooms. Our lobby is spacious, comfortable with plenty of seating, TV monitors to view the studio rooms, two changing rooms with cubbies for students to put their personal items, desks to do homework, four rest rooms, and a kitchen.

Our mission is to provide a wholesome environment that fosters moral values and integrity through dance, music, and fitness.

Classes available from 2 through adult.

Building Champions Strength and Performance

The main goal of the classes at Building Champions is to teach kids how to move and help them become more athletic. Athleticism is a very broad term that is often only associated with sports. Being athletic goes well beyond sports. A child who is confident and competent in their movement skills is much more likely to participate in physical activities, games, and sports. They’re also much more likely to remain active throughout their entire life, which is the most important part. Two main obstacles kids face today are the decreased emphasis on physical education in schools and the increased pressure to specialize in sports at a young age. This leaves them with very limited opportunities to learn and master fundamental movement skills like sprint form, jumping, cutting, throwing, catching, etc. At Building Champions kids will learn proper movement patterns and how to apply those movements in a multitude of situations. We achieve this through drills, exercises, and games. Every participant will be challenged, but they’ll have fun doing it. We don’t want anything less than your child leaving with a positive experience.
